
History of the Center:
The Climate Change and Health Research Center of Dezful University of Medical Sciences was established in 2021.
This center was founded with the aim of developing research related to climate change and its effects on health. During the initial months of its activity in 2021, effective steps were taken by members of the Strategic and Research Councils to finalize the center's charter, strategic plan, and operational plan.
Steps for the establishment and deployment of the Center:
1. Approval and launch of the center at Dezful University of Medical Sciences in May 2021.
2. Inauguration of the center in Dezful city in May 2021.
3. Signing a cooperation memorandum between Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Dezful University of Medical Sciences.
4. Launching the center's website.
5. Preparing official appointment letters for members of the Strategic Council.
6. Holding two Strategic Council meetings to finalize the strategic plan.
7. Final approval of the center's strategic plan.
8. Holding meetings to draft and finalize the center's charter.
9. Commencing the acquisition of research projects.
10. Drafting the center's operational plan for 2022.
11. Preliminary approval of the center by the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education of Iran.
12. Submitting climate change and health-related proposals for peer review.
13. Expanding collaboration with the Secretariat of the Food Security Council within the framework of a joint operational program.
